Welcome to the Wednesday Dogs of Dogster! This week, we got a juicy story about Meagan and her two dachshunds, Draper and Rue. Spring in Alberta isn’t all sunshine and rainbows like those fancy Instagram posts. Nope, we got gloomy, dusty, and unpredictable springs with random snowstorms. And don’t forget the mud, lots of it thanks to the melted snow.
Draper and Rue, the dynamic dachshund duo, aren’t exactly thrilled about this wet season. Rue, the outdoor enthusiast, doesn’t mind a bit of rain or mud. She’s all about that dirty life. But when she hears the dreaded sound of the tub running, she knows bath time is coming, and she’s outta there faster than you can say “clean me.”
Now, Draper, on the other hand, is the rain-hating king of the house. He despises rain more than snow, and the mere sound of raindrops sends him burrowing into his blanket fortress. Getting him outside on a rainy day is like negotiating world peace. He’ll only do his business on the dry deck strip right outside the door to avoid getting wet.
And let’s not forget about the epic bathtime battle. Rue tries to escape like Houdini, while Draper goes full limp noodle mode, making the bath a total nightmare. But hey, at least Draper gets a fancy blowout after, because why not pamper the royal pup?
So, that’s the scoop on Meagan, Draper, and Rue in this week’s Wednesday Dogs of Dogster. Stay tuned for more doggy dramas and adventures!
